See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Re-opened in July 2012, this is a welcome return to the village of a roadside country pub that had been closed for five years. Complete re-building and extending has returned the premises to a destination dining venue. There are two lounge bar areas and two additional adjacent dining areas. Sourcing good local food is a clear policy of the management.. Restored in keeping with the feel of a traditional country pub, old furniture is complimented by antique mirrors and old books. Local railway history is also featured. There are three letting rooms for those that wish to stay to enjoy the North Shropshire Lake District and the nearby National Nature Reserve.
The Sketchydog Ale is only available here and the other three pubs in the group.
