Remarkable and remote inn, perched on the foothills of the Black Mountains. This is one of the last unspoiled drovers' inns in England. Until 1998 it was in the same farming family for 125 years. Ancient stone steps lead into a main bar with two serving hatches and a fine stone floor. Sympathetically refurbished, and reopening in 2021, the Bull's Head has been enhanced by the erection of a Dutch barn in the garden. High-end dining is offered, in association with a nearby artisan farming, butchery and catering business.
